GigGrid Docs

Everything you need to install GigGrid, set up your calendar, and upgrade to Pro.

1) Install the plugin (Free)
  1. Download the plugin ZIP: GigGrid.zip
  2. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  3. Select GigGrid.zip and click Install Now.
  4. Click Activate Plugin.
2) First-time setup (Venues → Artists → Events)
  1. Create a venue: GigGrid → Venues → Add New (address helps maps + location display).
  2. Create an artist: GigGrid → Artists → Add New.
  3. Create an event: GigGrid → Events → Add New and set:
    • Date + time
    • Venue
    • Artists (optional)
    • Notes (optional)
    • Tickets (optional)
3) Add GigGrid to a page (Shortcode)
  1. Create/open a page: Pages → Add New.
  2. Paste this shortcode into the page content:

No upcoming events.

  • type="upcoming" to show upcoming events (default)
  • type="past" to show past events
  • view="list" is the Free view (Month View is Pro)

Example:

4) Free vs Pro (what changes)
  • Free: List view, venues/artists/events, tickets, maps, notes, pagination (5 per page), up to 5 venues.
  • Pro: Interactive Month View + modal, recurring events, unlimited venues, design settings, more list control.
5) Try Pro (Paid Trial)
  1. Click the trial link below.
  2. Complete checkout (paid trial).
  3. After purchase, you’ll be able to activate Pro on your site via your Freemius account flow.
6) Buy Pro (Upgrade)
  1. Click “Upgrade to Pro” below.
  2. Select Monthly / Annual / Lifetime at checkout.
  3. Complete payment and follow the Freemius steps to activate on your site.
7) Common issues (quick fixes)
  • No upcoming events: confirm event date/time is in the future and saved.
  • Map not showing: ensure venue address fields are filled in and valid.
  • Month View shows upgrade message: Month View is Pro-only.
  • Upgrade button says “not allowed”: make sure you’re logged in as an Administrator and complete the Freemius connect/activation steps if prompted.
